Most meal planners start with recipes. Mealzy starts with your budget.
Recipes get picked once the week already fits your budget — as one plan built around your calories, diet and preferences, not a pile of recipes you have to make fit yourself.

Calorie targets use a standard energy-needs formula (Mifflin-St Jeor) based on what you enter. Every recipe is matched to your budget, so nothing gets suggested that pushes you over. Swap any meal in one click.
Shop from the list, cook, repeat
Sorted by category, priced per item. Tick things off as you shop. That's it.
How the numbers work.
Every meal priced before it's added
Nothing enters your plan without a cost estimate attached. The budget check happens while the plan is built, not after.
Calorie targets via Mifflin-St Jeor
A standard energy-needs formula, applied to the height, weight and activity level you enter. Nutrition values are estimates, not medical advice.
Prices are estimates, not quotes
Grocery costs use typical supermarket rates. Your local prices may vary — that’s why plans leave a margin under your budget, not right at it.

Why I Built Mealzy
I kept overspending on groceries every week — and still ordering takeout because I had nothing planned. Every meal planner I tried suggested recipes that blew my budget without ever telling me the price first.
So I built Mealzy — it starts with your grocery budget, then builds the week around your preferences. Every meal is priced as the plan comes together, so you see the total before you commit to it.
It's just me right now, building this in Sweden. If it saves you money and time, I've done my job.
